Wax Removal
Ear wax, also known as cerumen, is a yellowish waxy substance secreted into the ear canal. Its main purpose is to assist in the self- cleaning of the ear canal and protect it from any foreign substances entering the canal, causing problems, so it’s a good thing despite sometimes being unsightly!
For some people however, this naturally occurring ear wax, can build up in the ear canal, causing irritation, discomfort or blockage, resulting in some temporary hearing difficulties and requires professional wax removal. This can be a particular problem for those wearing a hearing aid, or those working in particularly noisy professions, where ear protection is required on a daily basis.
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to look into our own ears, so if you feel you have an ear wax issue, or simply are unsure, call or book now for an initial consultation for your ears to be fully examined.

Microsuction
This is considered to be the most natural and safest methods of wax removal. It helps leave the ear in a more natural state, where other traditional methods can result in more wax production, by removing the natural oils secreted into the canal. I use the latest equipment and methods, to give an expert and professional service.

Irrigation
A more traditional method of wax removal, but with a modern twist. This gentle ear wash, with which I have full control over the force of water entering the canal, can help remove even the most stubborn, deeper wax and debris from the canal. This can sometimes be used following microsuction, for complete clearance, when required.
